Online Gambling in 2012

Gods of Luxor Slots
The year 2012 saw the real push in the US for regulated online gambling, especially online poker. Many states thought about it, many decided to leave it for a while and a few, just a few decided to go for it. The year was alight with news on the regulated scene from Nevada and New Jersey, but in all honesty, news was all it was and there was very little action. Many operators threw their hat into the ring, and licenses were handed out however, 2012 saw no regulated online gambling in the US.

2012 was also the year that social gaming came onto the radar of many of the big operators and with companies like Zynga making waves in that scene, questions were being asked as to whether or not they could make the transition to real money gambling. We also saw huge moves in the mobile casino market, with plenty of fantastic casinos offering their games on the go. All Slots Casino launched their mobile offering and although mobile gaming took off a little slower than in other parts of the world, the US online casino scene is rapidly catching up!

The world of US online casinos was however a different story with some outstanding new offering being launched, and awards given to the very best. Best online casinos of the year awards went to Aladdin's Gold Casino, Lucky Red Casino and Manhattan Slots, and the new offerings included Begado Casino.
